We now have multiple musical guests for Anime Central after this announcement. The rave is bound to be jumping!!

OLDCODEX is a Japanese band formed in 2009.  With a unique combination of vocalist Ta_2 and painter YORKE., OLDCODEX performs songs of rock and dance music elements while creating artistic visuals to please the eyes as well.

OLDCODEX has provided their songs to several hit anime titles including Free!, Free!: Eternal Summer, Free!: Dive to the Future, all 3 seasons and movies of Kuroko’s Basketball, God Eater, Servamp, and more.

Their band name OLDCODEX was created by combining the words “old” and “codex” to mean “an ancient manuscript”.  For the Japanese, rock music is considered borrowed from the West, but OLDCODEX wishes to create their distinctive style as is reflected in their name.  They are also known for their aggressive and inspiring live shows where YORKE.’s emotional paintings color the canvas in tune with Ta_2’s hard vocals.
